Nickel Alloy Welded Pipes Manufacturer in India
Nickel Alloy Welded Pipes Manufacturer in India
Sachiya Steel International, established in 2005, is a Nickel Alloy Welded Pipes Manufacturer in India, serving industrial customers at home and abroad. We make and supply pipes and tubes from our facility near Mumbai, with an export office in Mumbai. Welded construction suits large diameters and thin walls at a lower cost and shorter lead time than seamless, which is why nickel alloy welded pipes are common in ducts, headers and process lines.
We supply Inconel, Monel, Incoloy and Hastelloy grades such as UNS N06625, N08825, N10276 and N04400, used in chemical processing, oil and gas, desalination, marine, power and pulp and paper. With ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications, along with PED 2014/68/EU and TUV approvals, we focus on consistent quality and clear documentation. We serve customers in 85+ countries and ship from stock when popular sizes are available.
What Are Nickel Alloy Welded Pipes?
Nickel alloy welded pipes are pipes made by rolling flat nickel alloy plate or strip into a cylinder and joining the edges with one longitudinal weld. The pipe is then annealed or solution annealed, so the weld zone matches the rest of the wall in strength and corrosion resistance.
Nickel is the main element, from about 30% in Incoloy 800 to 99% in Nickel 200. It keeps its toughness at high and low temperatures and resists acids, alkalis and chloride cracking far better than carbon or stainless steel. Chromium adds oxidation resistance, molybdenum adds pitting resistance, and copper helps in seawater and hydrofluoric acid.
Starting from flat product gives an even wall and makes large diameters practical. The weld is made by TIG (GTAW) or plasma arc, with or without filler metal, depending on the standard and size.

What Is the Difference Between Nickel Alloy Welded Pipes and Nickel Alloy Seamless Pipes?
The short answer: welded pipe is rolled from flat plate or strip and has one longitudinal seam, while seamless pipe is pierced from solid billet and has none. Welded pipe wins on large diameters, thin walls, cost and lead time. Seamless pipe wins on heavy walls, small bores and high-pressure duty.
| Point | Nickel Alloy Welded Pipes | Nickel Alloy Seamless Pipes |
|---|---|---|
| Made from | Plate or strip | Solid billet |
| Seam | One longitudinal weld, heat treated | None |
| Diameter range | Reaches large diameters | Best in small to medium sizes |
| Wall thickness | Even, thin walls easy | Heavy walls easy |
| Pressure duty | Low to moderate; design code applies a weld joint factor | High pressure, no joint factor reduction |
| Cost | Lower | Higher |
| Lead time | Shorter | Longer |
| Common standards | ASTM B725, B705, B619 | ASTM B161, B444, B622 |
| Typical use | Ducts, columns, large process lines, heat-exchanger shells | Small-bore, heavy-wall and high-pressure piping |

Nickel Alloy Welded Pipes Size and Weight Chart
Weight depends on OD, wall thickness and alloy density. Inconel 625 has a density of about 8.44 g/cm³, so we use this formula:
OD and wall are in mm. Example: NPS 4 Sch 80S is (114.3 − 8.56) × 8.56 × 0.02652 = 24.00 kg/m. Multiply by length for total weight. For other alloys, swap in the factor from the second table below. Walls for each schedule are listed in the next section.

Nickel Alloy Welded Pipes FAQs
Common questions about nickel alloy welded pipe grades, weld seams, FGD service, welding, dimensions, and supply.
Is the weld seam the weak point of a nickel alloy welded pipe?
No, not when the pipe is heat treated after welding. Solution annealing restores strength and corrosion resistance across the seam. Design codes such as ASME B31.3 still apply a joint quality factor to welded pipe, which depends on the standard and how much of the weld is examined, so confirm it with your designer.
When should I choose welded pipe over seamless?
Choose welded pipe for large diameters, thin walls, shorter lead times and lower cost. Choose seamless for heavy walls, small bores and high-pressure duty.
Which ASTM standard applies to my grade?
Nickel 200, 201 and Monel 400 follow ASTM B725. Inconel 600 follows B517, Inconel 625 and Incoloy 825 follow B705, and the Incoloy 800 family follows B514. Hastelloy grades follow B619, Alloy 20 follows B464, and B775 gives the general rules for all of them.
Is the pipe heat treated after welding?
Yes. Welded pipe is supplied annealed or solution annealed, depending on the grade and standard. The heat treatment removes weld stresses and restores the alloy's corrosion resistance.
Which grade suits flue gas desulphurisation lines?
Hastelloy C276 and C22 are the usual choices for hot, wet, acidic flue gas. Inconel 625 also works where the gas is less aggressive.
Which filler metal should I use for field welding?
Match the filler to the alloy: ERNiCrMo-3 for Inconel 625, ERNiCrMo-4 for Hastelloy C276, ERNiCu-7 for Monel 400 and ERNiFeCr-1 for Incoloy 825. Keep the joint clean of oil, paint and marking ink, and use low heat input.
Can welded pipes be used in sour service?
Alloys such as Inconel 625, Incoloy 825, Hastelloy C276 and C22 are widely used in sour service under NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156, provided the material meets the condition and hardness limits in that standard. Confirm against your project specification.
Which sizes and schedules can I order?
Sizes and schedules follow ASME B36.19M and B36.10M, as shown in the dimension table above. Other diameters and walls can be made to your drawing, and popular sizes sit in ready stock, subject to availability.
What tolerances apply to OD, wall and length?
ASTM B775 sets the tolerances on OD, wall thickness and length. Tell us at enquiry if your drawing needs tighter limits.
How is the weld tested?
Tests follow the product standard and include a tension test across the weld, a flattening test, and a hydrostatic or non-destructive electric test. Radiographic examination of the weld and third-party inspection are available on request.
What affects the price per metre?
Grade is the biggest factor, because nickel and molybdenum content drive the cost. Diameter, wall thickness, quantity, weld examination, testing and certificate type also move the price.
Which certificates come with the pipes?
Every order includes an EN 10204 3.1 certificate with chemical and mechanical test results. We issue 3.2 on request, and third-party inspection is available if your project requires it.
Are you a Nickel Alloy Welded Pipes manufacturer or supplier?
We are both. We manufacture near Mumbai and supply from stock and fresh production through our export office in Mumbai, so you deal with one source for the pipe, the tests and the shipment.
Do you export nickel alloy welded pipes?
